Screwball knew.wav(134KB) whyme.wav(134KB) Billy Barty is...Screwball! Billy is the founder of the Little People of America and the Billy Barty Foundation and a good actor, in fact he's considered to be one of the best and most famous little person actors. He was born in Millsboro, Pennsylvania, on October 25th, 1924 and began acting in 1927, when he appeared in his first movie entitled Wedded Blisters(this isn't found on his page at the IMDB but is in the interview at the Onion.) Since then he has appeared in over 60 movies and TV shows. One of his best known roles was probably when he acted the part of the High Aldwin in Willow(another of my favorite movies.) Others would be that of Gwildor in Master's of the Universe(the Heman movie), Otto Kriegling in Under the Rainbow, Noodles MacIntosh in Weird Al's movie UHF, and of course, our Screwball. His TV career has been large as well, he had his own show and was also one of the main characters of a 70's show entitled, The Bugaloos. Which I had never heard of but found a lot on when I was looking for information on Billy. He's made appearances and been a regular in many others, those are just two that seemed more prominent. Even though he was uncredited, he was also in a 1930's version of a Midsummer Night's Dream as Mustard-Seed(one of Titania's faeries), which wasn't huge but I thought I'd mention since its one of my favorite plays :)

"What good's a world locked in a season of death?"
Gump is the leader of the faeries and a very interesting character. He is originally angry with Jack for taking Lili to see the unicorns and furious when he hears she had touched one. He gives Jack a chance to redeem himself and save the world when he learns that Jack's foolish actions were fueled by love.
Jack: "Oh Gump, she touched it."
Gump: "Touched it?!?! A mortal laied hands on a unicorn!"
Gump: "Your fine sensibilities have left us here to rot!"
Born on Sept. 9, 1966, in Lausanna, Switzerland, David is otherwise best known for his role as Oskar Matzerath in the *highly* controversial, oscar winning movie Blechtrommel, Die "The Tin Drum". When it was first released in 1979 some cities tried to ban it, denoucning the art movie as child pornography, recently though, it was declared to be art(I'm all for intellectual freedom so that makes me happy) and the ban lifted. I have heard great things about David's performance in it as well. His father and sister are both large, foreign actors. He has only appeared in one other movie entitled Canicule, Legend was his last movie and I'm sure we're all glad he acted in it.

"I knew it, I knew it, I should have stayed at home!"
Screwball is a comical member of the faerie band. He is cowardly and constantly griping, his funniest traits, but in the end he volunteers to climb to the surface and place the plate to kill Darkness. Of course, however, he falls asleep at the top and is barely woken up by OOhna.
Screwball: "I knew it, I knew it, I should have stayed at home!"
Screwball: "Theres only one thing I want to know."
Brown Tom: "What?"
Screwball: "Why me?!"
"You may not do it--I mean, it may not work out--but my thinking is that as long as you try, you've done it."

"She was alive still when they killed me."
Brown Tom is a hilarious guy, never without his elderberry wine. Though I don't like him as much as Screwball, he's probably my second favorite faerie, I love them all though. He's not quite as cowardly as Screwball, he stands up to the goblins and tries to defend the mare.
Jack: "Lili?"
Brown Tom: "Aye"
Jack: "Then she's alive!"
Brown Tom: "She was alive still when they killed me."
(whineying)
Screwball: "Whats that?!"
Brown Tom: "Its the unicorn you idiot."
Well, I wasn't able to find much information on Cork, except for his filmography. I discovered when I went there that he had been in a movie I owned, Sinbad of the Seven Seas, which I only own because my mom bought a bunch of eclectic type movies from a garage sale, I swear!
